OYO 9862 Spring Fields

For getting around, the place is frustrating. It's inside a colony, above a residential building, and hard to locate from the main road. There's no navigation, and even nearby people and shopkeepers couldn't tell me exactly where it was. It's about 4-5 km from the railway station and airport, but cab drivers and rickshaw pullers don't seem to know it. OLA rides to the station cost around 150-200, while rickshaws charge 60-80 bucks. There is no uber service in Patna currently, and ola is doing monopoly business here. There aren't good restaurants nearby. For a decent meal, you'll need a cab or rickshaw. There are hand-pulled carts selling fast food. The in-house food is expensive and poor value, with a veg plate at around Rs.250 and a cup of tea at 20 INR. The rooms and clean, tidy bathrooms are a plus. The hot water geyser works, and the AC, TV, beds, linen and towels are all up to the mark and nearly new. Room service is excellent, and the stay is quiet and peaceful. There is no lift, though, and the rooms are on the 4th and 5th floors. Carrying luggage will be a strain, and it's not wheelchair accessible or suitable for someone accompanying a PWD or patient. The warm hospitality and room service are the only reasons I gave it two stars. Otherwise, I would have given one.

The homemade food is the main draw, and the room and toilet are large. It's only 10 minutes from Patna Station, and early check-in doesn't cost extra. Maintenance needs improvement.

The room was nice and the food was good. It’s really a homestay, though, and there’s no sign or other marker to help you tell it’s a hotel.

The location is pretty good. Rooms are just okay, but the stay was awesome.
