Bouvana Residency

We arrived at 10:30 AM and asked for early check-in, but they refused even though rooms were vacant. There was no dining area or food, so we had to wait until 12 PM. The first room was extremely dirty and the fan made a loud noise. The second was slightly better but still unclean. There were cockroaches, the telephone didn't work, and they didn't provide basics like a dental kit or water bottle. Checkout was horrible. We left at 11:45 AM, just 45 minutes late, and they demanded ₹500rs. I pointed out the short delay and complained about the cockroaches and missing items, but they didn't care and kept demanding the money. The staff were rude, arrogant, abusive, used bad language, and made false allegations against us. I called the police (100), who said they would come. We got nervous that things could become serious, and as a couple of 2 members it didn't feel safe. We cancelled the call, paid ₹500rs, and were then allowed to leave. This was a very bad experience. Dirty rooms, rude staff, and a money-minded management. I found it unsafe for couples and families, and won't return.

The location, parking, and affordable price were the only good points. The rooms weren't clean, including the sheets and pillow covers, and it seemed to be the same in most rooms. We had to compromise on hygiene. The staff could have treated guests more politely, but that wasn't our experience.

A budget-friendly, clean hotel in a good spot in the center of Pondy. It was easy to get to all the popular locations, and the staff were very supportive.

The extra charge for early check-in was Rs 200 per hour, and the reception staff came across as cheap and uncaring. The room smelled awful and looked nothing like the photos. It was filthy, clearly neglected, and things didn’t work properly. Whenever I asked for help, the staff acted like they were doing me a favor, with no sense of responsibility or professionalism. The whole stay was frustrating and a waste of money. I left angry and disappointed, and I’d never return or recommend this hotel.
