OYO Townhouse 261 Jayam nagar

We'd already paid, so we had to stay for the two days. When we asked about the poor upkeep, they said the lease term was over. It was very costly and not worth the money. Don't go, choose a decent hotel nearby instead. The room hadn't even had basic cleaning and was dusty. The mattress, bedspread, and comforter were all very dirty. The AC only blew air, with no cooling. They didn't provide towels or toiletries, and there was no Wi-Fi, cable connection, or complimentary meal. Maintenance of the place was very poor.

The breakfast was tasty and came served on a plate, and there was parking where we could leave our vehicles safely. The property was well maintained and the rooms were spacious. For longer stays, room service was available when we asked. It would be better if they offered it daily, or every other day, for guests staying several days.

The only good part was being able to rent a bike right at the hotel, even though they charged a bit extra. I can understand that. The bathroom smelled really bad, and the fittings were all rusty. Both nights the AC dripped water, but I was too tired to complain. They took more than 30 minutes just to get me a spoon. I went to reception twice and called twice, all for one spoon. There's no restaurant, and they bring in a limited breakfast from outside that isn't very good. You don't get to choose, they just bring a plate to your room at 8:30 with half a cup of tea or coffee. I also saw the receptionist asking someone who was checking out to open the oyo app, then the receptionist gave a five star rating himself. When I checked out, another receptionist asked me to open the app on my phone, and I refused. This is clear rating manipulation that misleads potential customers. There were multiple issues, so I'd give this just one star.

The room was roomy and had AC, and that's about all it had going for it. There weren't any toiletries or towels, the bed squeaked, and the property wasn't maintained like a typical townhouse I've stayed in before. Given the better Oyo stays I've had, this was underwhelming.
