Pleasant Inn

The rooms are old and have no ventilation, and the price is high when there are many better options for the same amount. Breakfast was horrible and ends at 9 am, which isn't acceptable for tourists. The location is near rock beach and white town, but I can't recommend it.

The rooms are clean and breakfast in the morning is good. There isn't any car parking, though, so you'll have to look for roadside parking nearby. Apart from that, the hotel is good.

We booked through MMT because the only thing that appealed to me was how close the hotel is to Promenade Beach. That was the sole good point, and booking directly costs more. The management was rude. Our family stayed one day and found the room very unpleasant. It had a strong bad smell, especially in the bathroom, and even the pillows smelled. I had trouble breathing. The bathroom was badly cleaned and looked like a public toilet, and its door got stuck. Neither the AC nor the heater worked, making the stay even worse. I wondered why I'd booked it. When you come to Puducherry, choose somewhere else. I'll never suggest this hotel.

The staff were polite, but the administration and management were very poor. The electrical fittings were loose, the kettle was damaged, the reception had an old sofa, and the door locks were poor. The corridor lights weren't provided until 7 o'clock.
