Sakthi Guest House

For three nights I had a fantastic stay. My scooty was fine parked on the street, and there were no time or visitor restrictions. Early check-in or late checkout can be arranged for an extra charge. The staff were helpful with requests for hot tea or coffee, and my request for hot drinking water each morning was fulfilled at no extra cost. They supplied a towel, toothpaste and soap. I wasn't looking for complimentary breakfast since I planned to explore town and its food. The room and washroom were neat and clean, just what I want on a trip. The standard single room with AC was reasonably priced, and its central location made nearby places easy to reach.

It's easy to get to White Town and the beach area, about 1-2km away, especially if you have your own vehicle. Goibibo has verified the guest room, and you can book online. The rooms are affordable, air conditioned and nicely maintained, with very hygienic washrooms. They don't serve lunch or dinner, but you can ask for breakfast or eat at one of the many nearby places. A decent place to plan a weekend.

I wouldn't recommend this guest house. The room was tiny and had no basic amenities. They say hot water and AC are available 24 hours, but there was no hot water and the AC wasn't working. Parking is a problem too. We had to leave the bike in front of the hotel, which didn't feel secure. The road is narrow, and there's no space for cars. They negotiate the price as if the guest house is busy and fully booked, but all the rooms looked empty.

Polite, helpful service that was quick, and good rooms for the price. The AC and wifi were there, with shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The beach is also within walking distance.
