Sea Gadabout Beach Villa

On our recent trip to pondi, we stayed at Sea gadabout beach Villa - serenity beach and fell in love with the property. The villa has cozy rooms, a jacuzzi, and a swimming pool, with a beach right in front. Mukesh and amma, the caretakers, looked after us so well. Thanks to Rangaswamy Sir for all the help and cooperation, which I really appreciated. We'd be glad to build a healthy business relationship going forward.

A couple of things to plan around: room service and the caretaker are usually available only until 11. The jacuzzi holds 55L, while the geyser that supplies it is 5L, so start the water trickling an hour before you want to use it. It also has a heating system, which keeps the water warm. Mukesh and Balaji were godsent, and the rooms were amazing. They even provide dental and shaving kits, the whole nine yards. The location makes it all even better.

For ₹24,000 a night, this stay wasn't worth it. The place may look good in photos and be Instagram-friendly, but the service, obstructed view, and poor connectivity don't add up to a comfortable or premium experience. It felt more like a fancy setup for influencers. On the second and third floors, Wi-Fi didn't work at all, and even on the ground floor, basic apps like Zomato and Swiggy barely worked. It's a big no for a workcation or even basic connectivity. The beach is directly in front of the villa, which is a plus, but it gets heavily commercialised and crowded with tourists on weekends. A giant wheel stood right in front of the property and completely blocked the clear sea view we expected. We shared photos for reference. Rooms were spacious enough for couples, though a bit cramped for families with children. The washrooms and kitchen were well equipped and maintained. Service from caretaker Balaji was extremely poor and unprofessional. Check-in was at 2:00 PM, but cleaning continued until 2:30. The projector never worked despite more than an hour spent trying to fix it. We told the caretaker in the afternoon that we needed a BBQ, but no preparation was done, and we waited until 9:00 PM for it to be arranged. We kept getting assurances like “5 minutes” and “10 minutes,” which just led to frustrating delays. Leftover food attracted crows in the morning, but nobody cleaned it up proactively. There was no initiative from the caretakers, and even small requests needed repeated follow-ups. The whole experience was highly disappointing, and we wouldn't recommend it for the price.

For a group of 10 - 12, this is a great place to choose. The caretaker looked after us really well and stayed patient even with our last-minute requests. I don't think you'll regret staying here.
