Villa Souhayl Homestay

Ashik Bro, the owner, was great to deal with, and the bike rentals were affordable, much like the room rates. The rooms were well kept and had an AC, TV, refrigerator, geyser, sofas, and a bed with clean sheets and blankets. It’s a comfortable homestay that feels like home, and it’s an easy walk from Puducherry Railway.

The place was clean and recently renovated, with drinking water and a shared fridge. It’s right by the railway station and about a 10 minute walk to the beach, so the location worked out perfectly. From booking through checkout everything went smoothly. The owner and his son were so helpful, especially Aashik bro, who took care of all the little things during our stay. I’ve stayed in lots of places, and this one is a gem. Highly recommend.

The rooms are exactly like the pictures, with no difference from what was uploaded, and the price is worth it. Contact the owner to check availability because it books up quickly. One room can fit five people.

We only found out a week before check-in that they had decided to cancel our booking, with no warning beforehand. We’d booked a month earlier and received confirmation emails, so we had to scramble to find somewhere else at the last minute. They said it was because we’d booked for only one night. The woman we spoke to was very rude. Terrible service, 0/10, would not recommend.
