The room Wi-Fi was very unreliable, and despite arranging early check-in before we arrived, we had to wait a long time for the room. Aside from those two problems, we had a comfortable stay at Rama Continental Hotel in Civil Lines, Allahabad. The room was clean, the food was very good, and the polite, supportive staff kept the hotel feeling well maintained. Better coordination on early check-in and more dependable Wi-Fi would have made it excellent.

Shalini Shrivastava at reception was welcoming and helpful, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. The other staff were polite and ready to assist too. Our room was clean and well maintained, and the service made for a very pleasant stay.

The restaurant was a highlight, with good food, and the location made it easy to explore lots of things during our stay. We were only there briefly, but we really enjoyed it and were happy with our choice.

The breakfast was quite good, and service and hygiene were good too. The glossy reception and rooms look appealing, though some basics need attention. It took over 15 minutes for the water to get warm, and it still wasn't really hot. The western toilet sits very close to the door, and without a bathroom partition, water runs out when you shower. There are only air-conditioning units, no ceiling fans. We stayed one night, and the hotel otherwise keeps a nice standard.

The Chandelier in the lobby at Rama Continental Hotel is stunning and gives the entrance an elegant feel. The food was the letdown. It looked decently presented, but the taste and quality didn't live up to the atmosphere. Better food would make the experience much better.
