The hotel entrance was really cramped, and getting to our booking on the 4th floor during kumbh mela 2025 meant taking very tall, narrow stairs. There’s no lift, no windows or ventilation, and the hotel was highly overpriced. The blanket wasn’t clean, the water jug was leaking, and even the glasses hadn’t been washed properly. No faucet was working, and there was no geyser. The front desk staff were careless and very rude. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

I’m from Sylhet, Bangladesh, and stayed one night at Royal Kashi Lodge. The staff behaved well, so I was satisfied, even though they charged me a lot. I felt awkward when the manager kept my passport. A photocopy would have been enough. Thankfully, he gave it back when I left.

The website pictures seem quite different from the place, maybe they were taken just after the first wash of the bedsheet. Everything was a disappointment. Cleanliness, hygiene, food, beds, and rooms were all too poor, and the amenities and staff behaviour were poor too. They don’t follow OYO guidelines, argue with you, and charge whatever they want for extra hours. They wouldn’t even listen to your concerns.

For 1500, I got a room the size of a bathroom with no facilities. The staff were rude, and the TV and AC didn’t work properly. They cheat you in every way. Don’t go here, even on a solo trip.

The room condition doesn’t match the rent, and the service was very bad. The receptionist was arrogant, and you have to call more than once about a single issue. The hand shower didn’t work, the commode wasn’t cleaned properly, and their behaviour was unacceptable. Worst hotel I’ve ever visited.
