Lizzy at the Front Office made a real difference during my stay. She was polite, professional, and helpful, welcomed me warmly, and assisted quickly with a positive attitude. Hydel Palace Hotel was clean and well maintained, with comfortable rooms that were neat, spacious, and properly cleaned. I had a wonderful experience.

The one thing I liked was the friendly staff. The restaurant wasn't operating on May 23rd, and the swimming pool water had far too much chlorine. It was also highly overpriced: we paid 12.5 K for two rooms with an extra bed.

We booked what was supposed to be the best room, but it turned into a disaster. The room itself was fine, though the bathroom wasn't. There was no hot water, and the bathtub wouldn't hold water because it kept draining. In the end, I had to use a bucket to bathe.

We stayed at Hydel Palace Hotel on 4th February 2026. The location was okay and the staff were friendly, but the facilities felt very ordinary. The food was below average. Our two double beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, and the extra bed had no frame, so it was placed on the floor. The jet beside the toilet leaked and splashed water on me while I used it. The fridge was switched off, and since we were there for only one day, waiting hours for it to cool was a hassle. For these reasons, I think the hotel deserves a rating below 4.

The location makes this resort handy for a visit to the area. Silver Storm Water Theme Park is only about 500 metres away, and the well-known Athirapally Waterfalls are a 15-minute drive from Hydel Palace Hotel and Resorts in Athirapally. After sightseeing, the well-maintained pool is a nice place to relax. The restaurant serves decent food, although vegetarian choices are limited. It's a comfortable stay for people who enjoy nature and adventure.
