The food brochure in the room listed very high prices and only North Indian dishes like rotis. There were no local Maharashtrian choices such as poha or vada pav, or even basic tea or coffee. The property was being renovated during our stay and wasn't well maintained. The rooms smelled, central AC and several lights were missing or not working, and we had two or three power cuts that sent us to the stairs. The geyser in our first room didn't work, so we changed rooms. There was no drinking water facility or any water bottles, and they charged extra for early check-in.

We went for dinner and had vegetarian dishes. The food was tasty and freshly made, which lifted our mood even though we were a little apprehensive because hardly anyone else was there. Service was somewhat slow, and the prices are on the high side.

We had booked in advance, but when we arrived they claimed the hotel was overbooked. There seemed to be rooms available, yet initially nobody responded. We called the police, and suddenly two rooms became free. This is nonsense.

I did like the hotel overall, but bathing was difficult because there was no hot water. They hadn't provided soap or a towel either, and I had to run around trying to sort those things out. I hope they fix these issues going forward.

The room itself was lovely, and the hotel is beautiful, but the amenities were missing. The lift wasn't working, there were no towels or soap in the bathroom, and the room smelled. When I asked for tea, they told me, 'you'll have to get it from the shop.' I wish they'd look after the property and improve the service.
