I was in town for my monthly client meeting, and with the Bajaj's Cycling event filling up my usual choices, Hyatt and Novotel, I searched around and booked Oakwood Residence. I didn't expect to be so impressed by the hospitality. The staff were courteous and went out of their way to make me comfortable. Ejaj at the front desk and Ruturaj serving in the restaurant were especially helpful and professional. The food was great and reasonably priced, and breakfast had a nice spread. My room was spacious, clean, and stocked with what I'd need for either a short or longer stay. The linen, bath towels, and robes were clean too. There's a well-equipped gym, a clean pool, a business center for working, and a small meeting room. I'm looking forward to coming back next month.

The location and service were awesome, and the breakfast service was top notch. Jagruti's housekeeping was exceptional too. Since it's a residency, the extra space is a big part of what you get. Just bring your own newspaper.

The rooms are roomy and come with a basic kitchen, so they'd work well for a longer visit. I've already told other people about the hotel and plan to stay there on my next trip. There were a couple of hiccups, but for the price compared with what you get, it's one of the better places I've stayed in India.

For a property that presents itself as premium, the service fell far short. The management came across as dismissive, with little accountability or professionalism. My front-office interaction with Ms. Chaitali Kawle was unpleasant; I found her rude and unhelpful. The one person who was courteous and professional was Anil at the restaurant, who really tried to give good service. Sadly, my stay at Oakwood Residences was disappointing.

It felt like a five-star stay with the comfort of home. I enjoyed having the amenities I needed as a traveler, along with 24-hour food service and housekeeping. The staff were great, and at Christmas it had a lovely holiday feel.
