Oyo 42962 Alok Hotel

I paid the full amount in advance for four nights at Alok hotel through Agoda, but when we arrived, the staff said every room was full and they couldn’t take us. I was with my mother and it was nighttime, so having nowhere else to go was a terrible experience. Getting there was difficult too, since cabs can’t come right up to the hotel. I don’t recommend it. Also, as with many Oyo hotels, the location shown on Google isn’t correct.

There have been a couple of changes: room cleaning has started, and landlines were installed in every room today. But the shower can’t be used, and the TV is no help because Tata sky hasn’t been recharged despite repeated requests. The remote hasn’t worked since the first day. Breakfast is supposed to start at 8:00 am, but it’s not ready until 9:30 am or later. They mention at least two choices with tea or coffee, but these days there’s just one fixed breakfast, poha. You can only get tea with sugar, sold for Rs2/- a cup, and there’s no culinary like other OYOs or alternative for people with diabetes. The road is awkward for bringing a vehicle, even an auto. Rooms are missing basic things like bedside tables, and the staff’s attitude has become dull. There was no electricity for the entire day today, and they don’t have proper generator backup.

I booked this hotel with breakfast, but they aren’t providing breakfast. The hospitality is the worst, and the actual place bears no resemblance to how it looks on your site. I paid around 1200 rs, and it wasn’t even worth 200rs. This is the worst hotel I’ve booked through your site. Please remove it from your listing and refund me.

The room was dirty and the service was very poor. Water was pooled in the bathroom, with small worms floating in it. It was really unhygienic. The TV was useless too, since its Tata sky connection was deactivated.
