Pramod Convention & Beach Resort

I loved the pickles so much that I keep thinking about how good they were. The food at Pramod Convention Centre in Puri was fresh, full of authentic flavours, and seriously tasty. The whole visit was well managed, from the ambience to the service. Staff were warm, polite, and attentive, making sure guests were comfortable and looked after. I'd recommend it for a visit to Puri or for hosting an event.

The resort is a nice middle size and really close to the beach. Service was very good, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. The sambhar and Vada were especially good. Niharika from the restaurant took care of our food change request herself and served my family, including the elderly people, very well.

We'd gone a long way to pray to Lord Jagannath, and after the trouble at the hotel we'd first booked, I was almost in tears thinking our trip was going wrong. I kept praying, and then this hotel came to our rescue. We managed to get a room for two days, even though it was a long weekend and the other places we'd tried were sold out. I felt Lord Jagannath had heard us. What a lovely stay it turned out to be. The property, room, food, and service were excellent, and the staff were so well behaved and helpful at reception. The breakfast buffet had a very good variety, too. Mr. Biswaranjan took our live counter order carefully and brought it to the table. After I asked, he even arranged for the chefs to include sausage on the next day's menu. God bless the whole Pramod Hotel Team. I'll definitely come back when we visit Puri again. Kudos!

At Rs 23k per night, I expected much better care and maintenance in the suite where I stayed from Feb5-7. The food was average for the price, and the stay overall was below average. Staff were cordial and did deal with issues, but only after insisting they'd checked the room. These seem like basic hospitality things. I'd stayed at a 5 star Marriott two days earlier for less, with far better room upkeep, food, and experience. The room had several problems. On Day 1, a Good Knight mosquito repellent was left by the work desk, but it wouldn't fit any socket. Reception told me to "just try hard to plug it in." Housekeeping then agreed it didn't fit, found another place to plug it in, discovered it was faulty, and said they'd replace it. On Day 2, the coffee pot was plugged into a switch hanging off the wall and wouldn't turn on. The front desk said, "we checked the room, just use it." I asked for a fix because it didn't work at all. Housekeeping came, pushed my laptop to a corner, and moved the pot to the desk. They wouldn't send coffee in the morning while we waited for the issue to be fixed. Very penny wise hotel staff!! Also on Day 2, after the room had been cleaned, I nearly slipped on the bathroom floor. Oily cleaner was still on the bathroom floor and around the bed. It looked like housekeeping had rushed, sprayed it, and not mopped. On Day 3, the hand soap bottle was missing its dispenser. Keeping the rooms clean, safe, and comfortable needs more attention. The Wi-Fi was very slow on Days 2 and 3 and often barely worked, so I gave up and used my mobile hotspot for work.
