Dudhsagar Plantation

The rooms were spacious, clean, and simple, and all five of us, two adults and three teenagers, enjoyed our time at Dudhsagar Plantation. It’s a restorative farm stay in the jungle, thoughtfully organised and surrounded by beautiful nature. The vegetarian meals were lovely and truly farm to fork. We could smell spices growing beside the paths and watch coconuts being grated into flour. The natural pool, with its fresh greenery and lovely views, was a refreshing place to relax while listening to the animals around us. Ashok and the team helped arrange trips and shared useful local suggestions for the area and further afield. Our visit to Dudhsagar Falls was one of the highlights of our time in India. Sameer, our guide, was knowledgeable and helpful, and left us feeling inspired. I highly recommend Dudhsagar to anyone wanting to slow down and take in India’s beautiful nature.

The food was a real highlight: everything was plant-based, made with fresh homemade ingredients, and served in very generous amounts. Some of the best we had on our trip. We also tried the Ouro feni cocktails, definitely worth a go. We loved the quiet setting and the chance to get close to nature, away from the busy parts of Goa. The grounds had a rich mix of plants and were peaceful to walk around. Our clean, simple room had everything we needed. Ashok and his team were welcoming, kind, and full of helpful suggestions. Sameer took us bird-spotting early one morning, then to the waterfall, and even drove us to our next stop. Everyone was friendly, and we had fun playing Uno with some of the staff and other guests in the evenings. Dudhsagar Plantation was one of the best parts of our Goa trip, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a calmer, more authentic experience.

Ashok made everything easy. He’s friendly and knows a lot, and I really liked the beautiful natural setting, the lovely air, and the gorgeous pool. The cottages were cute and clean, and the food was amazing. I’d come back for sure, maybe to volunteer or stay longer. 😉

My flight out of Goa got cancelled, and Ashok was brilliant at helping me sort out a way through that holiday mess. He and his family, along with the staff, are so kind and accommodating. The family history will make you smile, too. This place feels magical, with a real natural wonder around you. Great food and good vibes, I can recommend it.
