Hotel The Sudesh

The rooms are just okay, and the bar’s AC was noisy and damaged for a week. It’s still expensive, so it makes sense mainly for a one- or two-time visit.

The room had a musty smell, and housekeeping seemed absent. Dirty sheets and a filthy bathroom with stains and a terrible odor made the stay awful. The sink was blocked, the shower barely worked, and there was broken glass on the floor, which felt dangerous. The hygiene was appalling, and the place felt unlivable and unsafe. I’d strongly tell people to avoid it because of the risk to their health and safety.

Even in a suite, we were missing basic things: towels, bottled water, toilet paper, handwash, a drinking glass, and a kettle. The bathtub was very dirty, and the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The pillow and doormat were dirty too. The jetspray leaked, the exhaust fan was very loud, and the phone didn’t work. The TV was basic and had only basic channels.

The road to the hotel isn’t especially posh, but inside it’s surprisingly nice and very close to the railway station. The food was good, and it’s a great budget deal, especially with a discount for longer stays. Small issues can come up, but cleaning wasn’t a problem, and there’s an all-out mosquito repellent in the room.
