OYO 13657 Hotel Radhika

Hotel Radhika's rooms and facilities were in appalling shape, and cleanliness and upkeep clearly weren't priorities. The beds had bugs, so getting any proper sleep was impossible. When the TV happened to work, the air conditioning was failing, leaving guests sweltering. I can't imagine a worse place to spend the night, and would choose a footpath over staying here. Save yourself the trouble and avoid it. Plenty of other places offer the basic hygiene and comfort missing here.

The staff were helpful and polite, and there's a small Rajasthani restaurant down the stairs, then to the right on the main road. But I had to share my room with a mouse about 10-15 cm long. The drinking water smelled of paint, and the tap water had the same smell when I brushed my teeth in the morning. That made me wonder whether they were actually the same water. I can't tell whether all the hotel staff were at fault or just one careless person.

The rooms were really dirty, the bathroom was dirty too, the linen hadn't been washed, and the manager admitted that the AC doesn't work in rooms booked online. On top of that, the staff weren't cooperative. We went to ask whether they accepted OYO bookings, and were told online bookings got different rooms. We agreed to take those, but then the manager raised the price by 400-500 to match the walk-in rate. When I said we'd complain to OYO and leave a Google review, he said OYO would call, things would go back to normal the next day, and he'd keep getting customers. It was an awful experience and felt like cheating customers. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We went to Raipur with my parents for one night on 15th April 2022, and my stay at OYO 13657 Hotel Radhika was really awful. The manager had a negative attitude, and the staff weren't cooperative. I asked whether they accepted OYO bookings because I'd run into that issue 4-5 times in a row before. They said online bookings came with different, smaller rooms. We agreed, but then the manager raised the price by 400-500 to match the offline rate. It felt like they were cheating customers. He said that even with an OYO booking he'd give us an AC room where the AC didn't work, and I'd spend my stay talking to OYO until the booking period was over, so I should book offline instead. He explained that hotels lose money because rooms normally charged at a higher rate are discounted on the OYO app, and said they therefore use different tactics to push customers toward offline bookings. When I mentioned complaining to OYO and leaving a Google review, he said OYO would just call, and the next day they'd be back to getting customers as usual. He called it very common for them. I want OYO to take the necessary strict corrective action so customers can at least have a smooth check-in. I don't recommend this hotel. If they treat one customer this way, I feel they may be cheating others too, one way or another.
