I checked in around 1:00 AM after a long journey and hoped to get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. At 7:00 AM, staff called and asked me to move rooms because of “maintenance work.” Being woken up so soon after checking in and having to pack was inconvenient and unprofessional. I later heard the actual reason might have been that they wanted the room for an arriving VIP guest. If that's true, it's disappointing that paying guests are treated as secondary when someone “more important” is expected. The hotel should keep its commitments and be transparent instead of disturbing guests early in the morning with a misleading reason. This left me with a very poor impression, and I hope they treat all guests with equal respect. Guests shouldn't have to move to make space for VIP arrivals. Update: The manager called to apologize and refunded me for the inconvenience. He said no other guest would face this again, and sounded genuine.

The location was convenient, with AIIMS Raipur nearby, and the staff were polite, respectful, and always ready to help. Service was quick and professional, and the food had lots of choice, tasted excellent, and was reasonably priced. My room was spacious, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. The property is beautifully designed and well maintained, with a lovely overall feel. Hotel Singhania Sarovar Portico gave me one of my best stays in Raipur, a great mix of luxury and comfort. The GM Sir was especially humble, friendly, and professional. His attitude and leadership show in the service. It was a memorable stay, and I'll definitely visit again. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Raipur.

The air conditioning barely worked, and the mini bar fridge wasn't cooling properly either. They even charged separately for ice cubes in the scorching summer heat. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star, it's surprising that the rooms don't have Smart TVs, which feels like a basic feature for a premium property. The facilities and service at Sarovar Portico Raipur fell far short of what I expected. It doesn't justify its price or 4-star status, and management needs to improve basic amenities and guest comfort.

The food was good, but the overall stay was unpleasant. At reception, we were told our plan included breakfast, then the staff denied it when we reached the billing counter. This happened in the morning while we were rushing to catch our flight. Communication was unclear, and the staff were uncooperative and didn't help us.
