Rajesh, the manager, is why I gave this place a good rating. The owner is understanding too. For food, Hotel Srikesh is a good option for South Indian dishes. If you want Rajasthani food, look up kheteshwar bhojanalay near the Jain temple on Google, where it costs just 120/-. The lift is often unusable because staff leave its door open.
The street outside Rathna palace has really hectic traffic, and there isn't enough parking for a sedan or larger car. Getting to the second floor or above by lift is a nightmare, and the tiles are slippery. Reception and room service were very poor. I can't think of anything positive to say about Rathna palace.
The location is a real plus, with easy access to major spots around Rajahmundry, including the railway station and local market.
The toilet and bedsheet were dirty, and they hadn't even provided pillow covers.
It's a really old lodge. Please don't be fooled by the photos.
