Hotel GARISHPARK

We stayed in a deluxe room for a couple of days. The rooms were kept in good shape, the washrooms were very clean, and they replaced the towels, bedspreads and dental kits each day. Wi-Fi worked very well, and the food was tasty. The staff were exceptionally friendly. We went to Rameshwaram temple early, and the management kindly let us have our included breakfast as late as noon. The only small gripe was that some satellite TV channels were missing. It didn’t matter much since we were only in the room at night.

The rooms are large, but for what we paid, the service was nowhere near good enough. There were no towels, the bathrooms were dirty at check-in, the TV didn’t work, and the door keys failed too. We made several requests, but the middle-aged man with glasses wouldn’t even listen. The reception staff were better than him. Maybe he owns the hotel or something, but if they can’t provide proper service, they shouldn’t rent rooms out. We weren’t staying for free. Just avoid this place.

The rooms and amenities are very good, and the property is a nice one for town. It could be top-notch with a few fixes, but maintenance is poor and the staff need proper hospitality training and clearer guidance on their duties. The way it’s managed leaves a lot to be desired.

The attached mall on the premises makes things even more convenient. The stay itself felt clean, comfortable and homely, with friendly staff and nice food. It has what I needed for a comfortable hotel visit. One downside, the night reception staff speak Tamil but don’t seem very comfortable with English or Hindi. Overall, a pretty top-notch place.
