Hotel Harriet, 50m away from temple Rameshwaram

We had a great stay, with valet parking and prompt help arranging temple darshan and rituals. The rooms were clean, the front office was excellent, and we enjoyed delicious meals three times a day.

The parking is about 1 km from the hotel, which is understandable given the busy prime location. It can take around 40 minutes to bring the car, or 20 minutes late at night and early in the morning. Calling reception ahead helped, and the valet service made things easy. They cooked lunch for us even though we arrived at 3 pm, and the simple fried rice and mushroom curry tasted great, though the curry was a little oily. The staff were professional, polite, easy to talk to, and gave us information about visiting the temple and sightseeing. Our room was nice and clean, and they also have a hotel cab for sightseeing tours, which you can discuss with them, with extra charges possibly applying. The only small issue was the AC in room 108, which could have been stronger. I felt a bit hot, and even a small wall fan might improve the room, but it wasn't a big problem.

The food was tasty and hygienic. We were given lunch and dinner as extra complimentary meals, a kind gesture we really appreciated. It's a new hotel, clean and well kept, with neat, modern rooms and a comfortable stay. The staff were helpful and polite. A very good choice for families and pilgrims visiting Rameswaram.

The staff made our stay memorable. They were polite, helpful, well trained, and very cooperative at breakfast, serving us warmly according to our requests. I especially appreciate the owner for building such a courteous team, and hope the staff are well cared for too. The rooms were tidy and maintained, and the hotel was clean. It isn't a five-star luxury stay, but the service and staff behavior were better than at many five-star hotels. The Rameshwaram Temple is only about 50 meters away, so we could visit early and return whenever we needed. We had a comfortable, pleasant stay, and I'd recommend it.
