I was there for 7 days. The food was tasty, nice, and healthy, and the staff were good. Room sizes vary, so ask for a good room and they may give you a bigger one. The only service issue was that sometimes the F&B department didn’t pick up the phone when I called to order.

I came to visit a colleague who was staying here. The hotel looks great outside, but the tariff doesn’t feel justified. The rooms were very small. Service was good, though the breakfast wasn’t so great.

The staff behaved well, but there were problems throughout the stay. The room wasn’t properly clean, and the bed sheet and blanket were very dirty. Toiletries weren’t properly available, and service was very poor. Breakfast was below average, and parking was also a concern. The restaurant charged high prices for food and bottled drinks. A Bisleri water bottle, for example, cost 42 rs including GST. I raised this with the restaurant manager, but didn’t get a proper response. The bar and club also made a lot of noise at night and caused discomfort. It didn’t feel safe for girls and families, and the hotel wasn’t value for money in any way.

At Hotel Mercury Resident, the room condition, cleanliness, and hygiene were serious concerns, especially since we were travelling with a baby. I reported the problems to reception, but they weren’t helpful and even offered to let us leave.
