Treebo Raj Inn Lalpur

There was no fan or ventilation in the room, which felt like a matchbox with just one bed. During a power cut I felt suffocated. The sheets and blankets were very unhygienic, and the actual rooms looked nothing like the photos on Google. Go here if you want to waste your money.

The staff were kind and service was quick, and the food was okay. But the building isn't maintained properly, with construction material taking up the staircase. Hotel rooms are only on the 4th and 5th floors, while the other floors are used commercially for things like a gym and snooker, so music carries from early morning into the evening. There are no exhaust fans in the washrooms, leaving the room stinky throughout the day. Getting hot water means calling reception to switch on the geyser, which is a hassle. The room gets 2 stars, and the location and services get 4.

The one good point was the staff's behavior. The room walls were damp and broken, and the bathroom toilet smelled so bad we had to change rooms. It was quite cold in Ranchi, but there was no hot water in the bathroom. They did provide an electric kettle, tea bags, milk powder sachets, and shaving and toothbrush kits. The complimentary buffet breakfast had only two options. The egg was just one piece, with no black pepper, and came only after repeated requests. Fruits and coffee also took many requests, and the helper lady in the restaurant was very ill-mannered. Not at all recommendable.

Food here costs more than at other restaurants, and hygiene is a major concern. I got food poisoning on the night of the 20th (nov25), so I wouldn't recommend eating at this hotel.
