The Xanadu Resort

Xanadu Resort, Majakali is tucked into the nature of Uttarakhand, with panoramic mountain views, fresh air, and a quiet that makes it easy to disconnect from city life. The whole place felt calm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Waking to misty mornings and still surroundings was one of the best parts. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and well maintained, with beautiful views from the windows. Cleanliness and attention to detail were clear throughout. The staff were warm, polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. They made it feel more like staying in someone’s home than at a resort. Food was another plus: fresh, flavorful, homely, and consistently delicious, with local and familiar choices. It’s a lovely place for a relaxing break, a family holiday, or a quiet mountain retreat. The peaceful atmosphere, good service, and beautiful scenery made our stay memorable. I’d happily visit again.

The food, cleanliness, and hospitality were all wonderful, and we felt right at home during our three-day stay. Mr Ravi was friendly and helpful, and Ms. Ritu bisht at the front desk was so polite and accommodating. Room service was prompt and good too. I’d give the resort more than five stars and would happily come back.

The garden tables were a nice spot for meals, and even the driver’s accommodation was comfortable. We found the staff kind and helpful, and the food was light and tasty. The resort also has a spacious dining hall with a buffet, indoor games, and music, while the rooms are clean, well furnished, and have well equipped bathrooms. WiFi worked strongly throughout the property. The real draw is the quiet setting, away from tourist crowds, surrounded by untouched nature. On a clear day, you can enjoy the Himalayas capped with snow, with mountain birds making quite a racket in the morning. It’s a lovely nature and comfort mix for a few days with family or friends.

Meals were a highlight, especially the ones Beena Aunty prepared, and the staff were consistently friendly and ready to help. The hotel is in a peaceful location, and my room was roomy, comfortable, and clean. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. I’d recommend it to others too.
