The restaurant serves warm, fresh and delicious food, and the rooms are clean. It’s a nice place to stay, very close to the railway station, with warm hospitality. A little more ventilation in the rooms would have been a plus. The staff and owner are all lovely, gentlemanly people. Hope the place keeps growing in every way. If you want a comfy stay in Roorkee, book it without a second thought.
I had a wonderful birthday celebration at Motel Dwarika. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service excellent, and the food really tasty. The staff were friendly and humble. I’d recommend visiting Motel Dwarika in Roorkee and seeing it for yourself.
The restaurant serves purely vegetarian food, and most of what I tried tasted good, though the soup was on the salty side. The hotel is new, and the rooms were clean and in very good shape. I enjoyed staying there and had no cleanliness complaints. It’s an easy walk from the Railway station entrance and exit, and E-Rickshaws are everywhere, which makes getting around easier. There’s plenty of parking for cars and bikes. Towels usually don’t arrive until after 8pm, and they weren’t in good condition, leaving material on my body when I dried off. I’d suggest bringing your own towel.
The food is reasonably priced and well prepared by a good chef, though the menu is limited. The restaurant on the rooftop hosts parties and functions, and when there’s loud music it carries straight down to rooms two floors below. I heard people coughing in bathrooms, talking in the corridor, shouting and playing loud music. It can be quite disturbing if you want a peaceful stay or quiet night, though it may not happen regularly. The hotel hasn’t soundproofed the rooms well, and sound seems to travel even from the rooftop. I stayed many days and thought I’d leave a review. It’s near the railway station, clean and well built, with a restaurant. The rooms themselves are nice and clean. Room service was great, staff were friendly and hardworking, and the cleaning team came regularly and did thorough work. Sometimes I heard shouting or commotion, though not from the regular staff. Complimentary tea is served each morning. You get one complimentary sealed water bottle at check-in; on longer stays, even if you pay the same rent each day, you only get refills after that, not another sealed bottle. Also, they don’t offer a discount even for a stay of 15 days or more. The video here was taken during one of those rooftop functions, and you can hear the noise in the rooms downstairs.
The vegetarian restaurant is on the top floor, and the food was quite good. The hotel is close to the railway station, and the price seemed reasonable, not too high. I heard it had opened recently; the rooms are clean and well maintained, and service is good. Staff are polite and decent. Rooms have the basics: geyser, A/C, TV, hangers, cupboards and sandals to wear inside.
