The Regency Inn

Food and service were quite good, and the reception staff were courteous. The rooms could use an upgrade, with bedside lamps and better soap in the bathroom. I wanted tea but couldn’t find it on the menu. The car that picked me up at the station was dirty, and should be kept clean and made to smell nice. Overall, it was a nice stay.

The lifts get slow at busy times, so shorter waits would help. Bathrobes and more places to hang clothes on the door would also be useful. We stayed with family and close friends and had a pleasant time. Staff were especially helpful with our luggage. Breakfast ran from 8:30-10:00 AM. I’d rate staff service and restaurant staff five stars, and housekeeping four. We asked for bananas with our curd rice, but they weren’t available.

The staff were kind and very supportive, and the complimentary breakfast buffet was nice. They also offer free pickup and drop-off from Rourkela Railway Station. Good value for money with premium service. I’ll definitely visit again.

The Regency Inn is a solid pick for the location and service, though the management should update the amenities and parking. It’s on the main road, close to the railway station, and easy for transit. Rooms are genuinely spacious, and housekeeping is prompt and satisfactory. Deluxe rooms get a complimentary fruit basket in the evening. The food menu has plenty of variety and is generally tasty, while breakfast is decent. The property feels old and needs renovation. For this price, the toiletries are dated, just old-fashioned soap with no moisturizer or modern essentials. Parking can be difficult, especially if you bring your own vehicle. Some menu items also seem overpriced for their portion or quality.
