The Estate Resort, Mangalore

The hotel's location is superb, with a valley view from the room that feels like a hill station. Rooms were clean and spacious, and I liked the minibar items. We tried several pizzas during their pizza festival and they were delicious. The restaurant also had lots of dinner choices, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, Chinese, and continental food. The swimming pool was very well maintained, and the kids enjoyed the buggy ride from reception. The indoor games room could use a little attention.

Our five-friend group has been close for decades, and spending a day relaxing together at a resort near Mangalore was a great choice. We booked two valley-view rooms, which were comfortable and had views that lived up to the name. The food we tried was excellent, and the property had plenty of little wow moments. We watched the sunrise, went trekking and for walks around the property, took buggy rides, had a relaxing spa massage, and went for a refreshing swim. Each part of the day added to the memories we brought home. The staff deserve a special mention for their commendable service. It was great value for money, and we'd happily recommend the place.

We had a wonderful stay at The Estate Resort in Moodubidri. It sits on a hilltop among lush rubber plantations, with breathtaking valley views. Watching the sunrise from the balcony was unforgettable. The property was beautifully maintained, the hospitality was excellent, and the food was delicious, especially the local breakfast. A lovely place to unwind in nature, highly recommended.

We stayed for one night in Mar 2026, and the natural setting was lovely. Check-in was lightning fast. They offered a welcome drink and explained the facilities and timings, then sent the same information on WhatsApp. Parking was spacious and hassle-free. The room was nice, with AC working perfectly, a balcony to sit out and watch the sunrise, plus a coffee maker and minibar. The toilet was clean, and having a separate dressing area was a nice touch. The restaurant was excellent, from the ambience and service to the food. Breakfast had a good spread of South Indian items, with live dosa and omelette counters. Outdoor activities were good too, including cricket, rope activities, and the swimming pool. Must-try place.
