Club Mahindra Resort - Tungi

The resort itself is generally good. Rooms were nice, staff were friendly, and the electric buggy service worked well. There’s a games area that’s handy if you have kids. But the road to Tungi has deep potholes, so unless you have a vehicle with big wheels, I’d avoid it for a few years. The pool wasn’t clean and was unusable during our visit, which was odd in summer when we expected it to be available.

A peaceful weekend getaway surrounded by greenery and jungle, with plenty of activities right at the resort. It’s set well away from the city, and vehicles aren’t allowed beyond a certain point, which makes for a relaxing stay.

The staff were kind, humble and well mannered, with remarkable service. Check-in and checkout were smooth. The pool was nice and well maintained, and my kid enjoyed the fun, well planned community activities. It felt calm, peaceful and safe, even walking alone at midnight. A small staycation in nature, away from pollution, and a must-visit for a weekend getaway. The location is lovely, but the road is awful, especially the last 5 km. I liked the hu more than the studio, though the place needs a lot of renovation, particularly the hu drainage, where water gets clogged. Food is overly priced.

The location is awesome, and you’d need at least two nights to explore the whole property. Rooms were comfortable, spacious, neat and clean. It’s a large place, so you have to walk to reach venues. Buggy service is only available for members’ regular pickups and drops. Non-members have to walk within the property, and the buggy is available to them only at check-in and checkout. Service was slow throughout. We waited 40 minutes to check in, room service was delayed, and dinner took an hour. Club Mahindra members were prioritized everywhere. As a non-member, you can end up waiting an hour for dinner while members are served first. The last 20 minutes of road to the resort is in poor condition, so drive carefully.
