We loved staying with George and his family, who hosted us so warmly. George is a very genuine person. Breakfast and dinner had an authentic taste and were affordable, and the terrace view takes in all of Shillong. They can arrange a bonfire, and there's a heater in the room along with all the other amenities. For the price, this homestay does full justice to it, probably one of the best in Shillong. Great value for money!

The beautiful, aesthetic property had a breathtaking view that captured Shillong's charm, and it felt like a home away from home. We stayed four days, and George, Nick, and Phel were warm, friendly, and always went the extra mile to make us comfortable. The food was delicious and had a homely touch. Service and hospitality were top-notch, 5/5. Highly recommend The Shillong Hills Guest House to anyone visiting Shillong, one of the best homestays in the city.

The caretaker was awesome, very nice, and helped us a lot. The rooms we'd booked were clean and spacious, with a water heater in every room, which is essential. The food was good too. It's not far from police bazaar, so lots of places are walkable.

It's a budget stay with a great owner and attentive staff who were quick to help. The food was decent. There were a few issues: the rooms aren't cozy or well maintained, and hot water only trickles into the bathroom. Be sure to check everything before agreeing to a room.

The food felt homemade, and the staff were gentle and polite. George was especially friendly and helpful, even arranging a vehicle for our sightseeing. We also appreciated having a departmental store in the guesthouse for daily necessities. Shillong Hills Guesthouse is conveniently located near Laitumkhrah Point. We had a wonderful, cozy stay, and it seems well suited to families or groups of friends.
