Daiatei Homestay

The balcony had a beautiful view, and the washroom was very clean. The rooms were amazing, modern, well kept and suitable for all kinds of groups. Everything we needed was provided, and the staff were always helpful. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Shillong.

This quiet-neighbourhood homestay was a great place to stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were both professional and friendly. Breakfast was included and very good, though they don’t serve any other meals. The main drawback was the unreliable connection. Both Airtel and Jio mobile signals were poor, and the hotel Wi-Fi was unreliable too. Also, not every room looks out over the golf grounds. Apart from the connectivity trouble, it’s an excellent place.

The view across the golf course and city is stunning, and the staff were kind and very helpful. The room had excellent interiors and so much space, with a top-class bathroom. The whole place had such a positive vibe. I honestly didn’t expect a homestay to feel like this, it was like staying in a five-star hotel.

My friend and I spent three days at Daiatei during our trip to Shillong. The room was great, and the breakfast selection was good. The caretakers and owner were polite and responded to our needs right away. We had a great time, and the service was exceptional.
