I came away with wonderful memories from the 4x4 winter Spiti expedition, and it felt like I’d found a new family in Mountain Goat. The logistics and technical support were both amazing. One of the best!

Getting the chance to be part of this meant a lot to me. I’m grateful the team believed in women driving and helped us trust ourselves on such challenging terrain. The stays were thoughtfully arranged, from comfortable hotels to warm, authentic homestays, and everything was managed well despite the harsh winter weather. They even got special permission for us to visit Shinkula Pass, which showed how committed they are to the adventure. During Winter Spiti 2026, rescue and recovery help was always on call, a doctor was available when needed, and the convoy had steady guidance throughout. The team were patient, calm under pressure, and serious about everyone’s safety and experience. From day one, Mountain Goat made us feel like family. Thanks to Suraj Bhai, Shaswat Bhai, Suri Bhai, Gaurav Bhai, and the whole Mountain Goat team. You were the backbone of a flawless expedition. For a high-altitude winter drive, I’d recommend them for their safety, professionalism, comfort, and support.

A huge convoy takes real work to manage, and this team did it well. They know expeditions, though keep in mind this is an adventure trip, not a relaxed holiday. If photography is what you’re after, you may want another group. Suraj and Shashwat know their field. The experience is about what you see and feel from behind the steering wheel.
