Hotel Conclave

Hotel Conclave is right on Hill Cart Road, opposite the S.N.T. Bus Terminus and close to Siliguri Junction. That made it easy to find shared jeeps or private taxis outside the gate, handy for heading to or coming back from Gangtok or Darjeeling. I stayed in an AC Deluxe Room. It was clean and well kept, with a flat-screen TV, kettle for tea or coffee, and working Wi-Fi. The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains helped me sleep despite the busy road. The room is compact, though, and could feel tight with a lot of luggage. For a transit stay, it was adequate. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise: the breakfast buffet had a decent range of fresh options, and at dinner the fish and chicken curries were flavorful, served hot, and came in generous portions. Staff were courteous and professional, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. The front desk also helped with travel details, useful if you don’t know local transport timings. Wi-Fi was reliable enough for basic browsing and social media, and the bathroom was neat with steady hot water.
