Room 5 on the ground floor wasn't worth the price. The walls were dirty, the quilt smelled bad, and there were lots of mosquitoes, cockroaches, and spiders. We had to kill quite a few before going to sleep. At checkout, the other rooms looked good, but the one we got wasn't satisfactory. They also shut off the AC at 9:30 am.
There isn't a restaurant on site, so they bring food in from outside. The location is good, though you have to walk two minutes from the main road. Staff are well mannered, and breakfast is included in the package. Good value for money overall.
The best thing here is the location. The rooms are small, and the food is average at best. They charge Rs. 200 per night for parking and Rs. 20 for each bottle of water, which felt like fleecing. The place is small enough that you can hear everything, so speak softly.
The staff were easygoing, and the rooms were clean and nice. Couples, including unmarried couples, are allowed, and it felt like a secure hotel for couples with privacy not being something to worry about. It's also close to the bus stand and railway station.
We paid online through goibibo, but after reaching New Jalpaiguri station and trying to contact the hotel, we were told the booking had been cancelled because they don't accept online payments. Goibibo eventually arranged an alternative without extra cost, but the management made the whole thing very inconvenient. Think twice before paying for a room here online.
