Shambhavi Hotels

We went a few days ago and came away highly, highly disappointed. The service was extremely poor, and the food didn’t taste good at all. The bill was 1400rs for tawa chapattis and plain dal fry, even though the food portions were very small. One dal wasn’t enough for one person, and each plain chapati was 28rs. The menu card didn’t list the roti price, and the prices were very high. The worst part was having to go to the kitchen to ask the waiter for a water bottle.

The food was equally good, and the staff were humble and very cooperative. Whatever you ask for, they arrange it right away. I stayed at this hotel recently, and for a place like singrauli, I’d say it’s very good.

The food was good, but there are quite a few things they need to improve. Breakfast had only two or three items, with poha served regularly, and we had to ask for the complimentary salad every day. On the third morning, the onion served with poha tasted bad, as if it had been cut the previous night. They only served Bislari bottles for a charge, with just half a litre complimentary each day. After a power cut, it took a long time for the power to come back. The bill wasn’t made as I’d suggested, and it showed only the tax amount, not the tax percentage.

Free WiFi is available, and breakfast is free, though you can’t get it before 8-30 am. The rooms are clean, and the toilet is well furnished but a little cramped. There’s no study table in the rooms, and room service is a bit slow. The restaurant serves good food, but the price is a bit high for the hotel’s stature. The front desk is sometimes unmanned.
