Velvet Sunset Huts

The water supply wasn't very clean, and the rooms are built on shacks with washrooms open at the top. But the hotel is right on the beach, so there's no extra walk, and the staff were so wonderful that I could overlook those smaller issues. Everyone, including my trip mates, was impressed by their humble, generous attitude. Cedric, the caretaker, handled all the little things, from the rooms to arranging vehicles, and suggested places nearby to explore. The staff from Nepal and Himachal were welcoming and helpful. Great hospitality.

We booked the beach front huts and they exceeded our expectations. The huts were beautiful and clean, with open bathrooms, and the staff were so welcoming and helped with everything we needed. They're on the northern end of Agonda's beach, 50 m from the sea and a 2 minute walk from the river, where you can take a calm 2 hour boat trip. A great spot for a quiet, relaxing holiday, and couples friendly.

The only real plus was how close the beach was, just a minute away, and Agonda beach itself was calm and serene. The accommodation is very basic, the bathrooms didn't even have fresh water, and the food was average. Getting to other places is difficult, though that seems true of any beach hut on Agonda.

We saw dolphins on the boat ride here, and the kids had a great time. They also had a campfire, which was good. The property is right on Agonda beach with a mesmerizing view. The rooms were good and the food service was great.
