For a family trip to Kashmir, I'd highly recommend the Srinagar houseboats of Kolu Group. The hosts and staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and well furnished. The living and dining spaces gave us an authentic houseboat feel, while the delicious food had a homely touch. It was a fantastic experience.

We spent two nights at Kolu Group of Houseboats in Srinagar. The room was clean and neat, and dinner and breakfast were just to our taste. The staff were polite, and the place was very well maintained.👍

We spent seven nights there and had very good weather. Their boatman took us on a sunset cruise, and it was one of the best sunsets I've ever seen. Kolu's houseboat on Dal Lake is a cozy, nice place to stay, and the staff gave impeccable service, from making up the room to greeting us each morning. The food was good, with a selection of meats and cereal on the table every morning for the two of us. Definitely a good choice for travelers in Kashmir looking for a relaxing North India holiday.
