New Alexandra Houseboats

We had a peaceful stay with beautiful views all around, and the staff were very polite and attentive. The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Inside, the rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, with lovely wooden details that gave the houseboat a royal but cozy feel. A perfect stay, highly recommended.

We booked through a travel agency, and the shikara ride to the stay was good. The boat was cozy and well maintained, and the food was awesome. The bed was heated, but there was no room heater, so it got too cold as time passed. We had to wear thermals indoors, and the heated bed almost kept us on the boat the whole time. There are power cut times, and when they happen, it’s difficult to manage. The bathroom was neat and clean and had a bathtub, though the water supply still needs to be regulated. At the entrance there’s a room, then a dining hall, followed by 3 to 4 separate rooms. The dining space is shared, but each room’s guests have separate dining times. The shikara ride was good, and the service was good too, but they demanded tips and were rude even after we gave one, asking for more.

It was about -5 degrees and there was no electricity, so we had to move out. We barely stayed two hours.

The houseboat was well kept, and the staff were courteous.
