The people are what stay with you after leaving Royal Grand Kashmir Hotels. The property sits nicely in Baadam Bagh (very secured area), though it’s the staff who make the lasting impression. Their pride in their land and respect for guests came through in the easy way they made us comfortable. Requests were remembered without reminders, and check-ins felt genuinely caring rather than obligatory. Conversations were natural, and their quiet attentiveness never felt intrusive. That warmth reflects Srinagar and Kashmir: calm, soft-spoken, graceful, grounded, and generous. From arrival, the care felt instinctive and personal, not like rehearsed luxury-hotel politeness or something learned from a manual. Greetings felt sincere, and we were treated as guests in their home, not as a room number or booking reference. If you want to feel the warmth, dignity, and soul of Kashmir beyond the scenery and postcards, this is where to stay. A place I’ll come back to.
