It's a small place, but I felt safe and comfortable there as a budget solo traveler. The lake is just a short walk down a little lane. I first stayed in 2020, and an uncle there was incredibly sweet to me. That's why I picked the place again in 2021.

For a group of three, they had a full triple bed, which was much better than the extra mattress other hotels offer. The location was very convenient, with autos charging only 40-50 to Dal Lake, Khyam Chownk, and Lal Chownk. The room service was very nice, and the electric bed heater made the room cozy even at -3 degrees. I booked six days and had a pleasant, awesome stay. Thanks, Amrit kaur.

We spoke with the manager, Mr.Tanveer, who said we could check in soon after landing. Instead, we waited three hours in a small reception and were then given extremely unclean rooms with a bad odor. We chose to leave, but Mr. Tanveer was rude and brash, and refused to return our Rs.5000 advance. A very unpleasant experience. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Stay away. The place was shabby, smelled of fungus throughout, and had large spiders crawling around. The owner's photos make the rooms look much bigger and nicer than they are, giving a false impression. It's also listed on AirBNB as “Adorable Rooms.” This felt like a fraud, and the place doesn't deserve even one star.
