Hotel Saffron Wayanad

The hospitality stood out, with friendly, professional staff who were quick to help. Our room was clean, neat, and comfortable, the food was excellent, and parking was easy with plenty of space. Saffron Hotel, Wayanad is close to the city but still peaceful, and we had a lovely view from the balcony. The property is well maintained. I’d happily recommend staying here.

The location was convenient for getting to nearby attractions and transport, and the room had the amenities we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with housekeeping paying good attention to detail. Whenever I requested something, service was prompt. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were courteous and welcoming. I had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back.

The rooms are a good size and clean, and room service was mostly prompt. It’s a decent, family-friendly hotel, but quite a few things need attention. The shower didn’t work properly, and the refrigerators in both rooms we booked were broken. We had to ask them to store our things in the restaurant fridge, then forgot them there the next day. There’s no play area, activity space, or games room with carrom, pool, or TT, which I’d expect at a similarly priced hotel. On the first day, several food items, including hot sambaar, had run out. Some of the dinner was undercooked, but it took so long to reach the table that we were hungry and didn’t complain. I think only one of the three restaurants was open, and the menu had very few vegetarian choices. The corridor lights should stay on: the walk to the rooms felt long and dark, and it didn’t feel safe.

We stayed one night in a room with a balcony, which had a beautiful view. The room was an okay size, nicely designed, and very clean, as was the toilet, which had all the toiletries. We really enjoyed the restaurant food, especially the Prawns masala, and breakfast was very tasty too. There’s a bar on the ground floor and another on the rooftop, each with a separate entrance, so bar customers don’t interfere with hotel guests or the restaurant. A good place for families to stay.
