Mr. Rik Halder was kind and helpful, and arranged food to suit us. The home-style meals were just what my child and unwell spouse needed, and the hotel’s Panda (brahmin) was good. The staff were courteous too. The location is handy, about a 2-minute toto ride from Tarapith temple, while staying away from the busy area. The bathrooms weren’t very clean, though, and apart from a large lawn used for parking the hotel looks poorly maintained. It seems it may once have been built for more guests and could have been thriving a few years ago.

The staff were pleasant, and service came really fast. We were very satisfied with how they treated us. The rooms were good too, so it was a nice place to stay. Highly recommend it.

The Google listing’s website seems fraudulent. If you call the number there to book, they ask for 50% upfront. Once you reach the hotel, the receptionist says it was a scam and there’s no booking. Use reputable travel companies such as Goibibo and Make My Trip, and don’t pay anyone to reserve this hotel.

We only stopped for a few hours to freshen up while visiting Tara Ma. The rooms were clean, roomy and warm, and the place felt welcoming and budget friendly. Their restaurant is family friendly and close to mandir gali, with delicious food. I’d rate the room 4.8/5. A little renovation or cleaning would help; otherwise, 5/5. We were new to the area and relied on Google reviews while travelling. If you’re in the same situation, you can consider this place.

The location, view and cleanliness were good, and the staff were polite. The food was just so-so. There are upgraded and non-upgraded rooms for the same price, and which one you get depends on the booking. Since we booked through Make My Trip, we ended up with a damaged room despite paying a high price.
