Beach Pavilion Resort

The toilets and paid bathrooms I saw were kept very neat and tidy. Vehicle entry costs 40 per car. A major nearby attraction is still being built: Kerala Govt Tourism is setting up a star-category resort under KTDC with KIFBI, including a swimming pool, spa, and restaurant. It is expected to open, and I'm looking forward to it. The beach is reachable by a direct walkway or driving road, just a short walk away. It's barely 1 km from NH66 via AKG Road, between Thalassery and Kannur, with Edakkad as the nearest railway station.

The beach is definitely very close, and bachelors could consider staying here. We arrived at night and were told there was one room available, but the shabby feel and general ambience weren't right for us. I wouldn't recommend it for families.

Getting to the beach is easy from this well-located place, but the room itself was disappointing. There was no AC, and the normal room cost 2k for three people. Basic items like towels, a water bottle, and bathing soap weren't provided. They should improve the service and make many changes, including fitting AC in every room, keeping rooms in better condition, and changing the sheets and doormats regularly.

The room and location were excellent, though mosquitoes were a real bother whenever the doors were left open.
