Both rooms had big cobwebs hanging from the ceilings. The first one also had signs of bugs, so I managed to switch rooms, but the second had a lot of mold. They were terribly dirty. Still, I guess you get what you pay for.

In such a tiny town there aren’t many choices: there’s just one other hotel, and it’s in a completely different class, with no other restaurants around either. This is a very basic place, with no restaurant or real amenities, but the rooms are clean. The staff did their best to help, making us coffee in the morning and arranging breakfast from a local mess. We got four stars for the cleanliness and helpful service.

We visited for a day in sleepy Tharangambadi. The hotel is nice, with spacious accommodation that was kept neat and well maintained. There’s plenty of parking and the staff are helpful. They don’t have a restaurant, which could be inconvenient if you don’t have your own vehicle. I’d recommend it for a future stay.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a gated parking area. Rooms are kept in good shape and the booking price is affordable. They don’t serve food, and payment is cash only, which was a hiccup.
