It’s run by a mother and son in a quieter part of town that’s still central. Everything was very clean. The mother makes delicious chai, and you can do your laundry here. For food, I recommend Ali’s restaurant. Try booking directly on WhatsApp so the money goes to them. A great experience!
I felt very welcome at Ganesh House Homestay, and the hosts made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The location is peaceful and great for a relaxing getaway. My room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. Highly recommended.
Ganesh House deserves five stars from me, though it’s definitely not a five-star hotel. I loved staying here because it’s an honest, modest, well-maintained homestay. The rooms are functional, there’s a useful kitchen area, and space to relax.
Manoj was a caring, lovely host who helped with everything I needed, from hiring a scooter to sending postcards. I really enjoyed my time in this homestay. My room was well furnished and properly cleaned, and I could use the kitchen and the rooftop for my own yoga practice. It’s just outside Kovalam’s chaotic centre, next to a super quiet, beautiful beach and a delicious restaurant. You can easily walk from there to the city centre. Highly recommended!
Beautiful views, a peaceful setting, and everything was super clean. They even had the small things that are often missing in Indian hotels. The manager was very conscientious. A really delightful place.
