Prathiba Heritage

Traveling with my two-year-old and elderly parents, I needed to get us to the railway station for an early train during the Bharat Bandh, when transport was limited. I was prepared to pay even double the usual fare for safe transport, but Hotel Pratibha Heritage staff wouldn't help arrange anything and offered no alternatives or guidance. I expected at least basic coordination and empathy in those circumstances. The bandh was outside the hotel's control, but the lack of support made an already difficult journey unnecessarily stressful. Families and older travelers should check about transport help before booking.

I wasn't comfortable with their service and wouldn't choose their boating packages or travel services again. It felt like they only favored package options at places where they could earn commission. Online, I found a cheaper price for boating in Poovar.

The one clear plus is the location, close to Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple. The room was much smaller than I expected, and the washroom smaller still, so the stay was uncomfortable and didn't feel worth the price. What we got also looked very different from the photos online. On top of that, the management gave our mobile number to auto drivers without asking us. They kept calling to push city tours and places they chose, and got rude and unprofessional when we said no.

It felt like being at home, and I was really happy to be here. The place was neat and fine, though I wish it had an elevator. We'll be back soon.
