La Promenade Hotel

We skipped the breakfast we’d booked because the housekeeping was so poor. The room smelled awful, the walls had seepage all over, and there were little insects in all the wooden work. Hygiene and service were basically nonexistent. Honestly, I’d rather sleep by the roadside than stay in a hotel like this. The photos say the rest.

Don't stay here. The sheets looked unwashed, and there was someone else's hair on the bed when we arrived. The AC filter hadn't been changed, and I got sick that night. Three days later, I’m still ill. This place was filthy, and I’d rather sleep on the road.

The room was spacious, with a king bed and an extra bed for our two adults and two kids. We stayed Monday and Tuesday. There’s a pure vegetarian restaurant right across the road, which is handy since pure veg options can be hard to find. The bathroom had a number of problems: the tub and broken bin weren’t properly clean, the shower sometimes kept running, the ceiling didn’t seal properly around the AC pipes, and some tiles were broken. I overlooked that because the room itself was nice. There was also a three-hour gap between the morning and evening reception shifts, which caused a few inconveniences, but those were sorted out later. The person in charge addressed our concerns, and we still had a nice stay overall.

No real positives for me. The food was filthy and tasteless, and the rooms and sheets were dirty, with seepage marks in places. When smoke started coming from the doorbell, nobody answered the phone or was at reception when I went to complain. An electrician arrived after about 1-1.5 hours. The lift was switched off in the morning too, along with plenty of other bad experiences. I wouldn’t recommend staying here or spending your money on it.
