It has a cozy, lively feel, almost like staying in a home, with a vivid atmosphere. The house is a little off the main route, but I thought that added to its charm. There’s a kitchen, though I was only there briefly and didn’t get to see what was being cooked. The rooms open onto corridors, so staff could unintentionally hear you talking. That was the one issue I noticed.

There’s plenty of space to relax, and the place looks gorgeous. For a budget OYO room, it’s easily one of the best I’ve stayed in, with great amenities and a price that didn’t break the bank. Getting there was another story. Google Maps sent us down a tiny alley with such a steep climb that we worried our vehicle might topple over.

Set in a residential area, this hotel is quiet and well away from city traffic and noise. The staff were friendly, and it felt like home. It is some distance from Kovalam beach, though that shouldn’t be a problem if you have a car or bike.

Greenery surrounds the villa, and the terrace dining tables really catch your attention. It’s a homestay with all the amenities, and whenever we needed something, manager Mr Balakrishnan arranged it for us.

The rooms are spacious, and the surprisingly lush surroundings make the balcony view pretty good. There’s an open-air dining area, and the place seems best suited to groups. For the price, I’d call it decent. Food is the weak point. There’s hardly anything available, and the breakfast made on request wasn’t good. The nearby places that deliver weren’t much better. You have to request room service each day, and the property is tucked into narrow lanes. The nearest rickshaw is a 15-minute walk away.
