Dostyk Hotels

The Oyo photos appear to be from a different hotel. This Oyo listing calls the property Silvery key executive stays, while it is Tayas Dostyk hotel and is marketed as Hussains hospitality pvt Ltd. The AC was loud and didn’t cool the room, so I had to use the ceiling fan at night to avoid sweating. The door hinge was damaged and the door wouldn’t shut properly, and the toilet didn’t flush well. Staff said a technician was coming, but nobody arrived despite my complaints over two days. Oyo didn’t answer my written complaint, and the hotel staff didn’t respond either. They list Wi-Fi, but when I asked, I was told it only worked in the lobby, where it was worse than dial-up. If these problems had been fixed, I would have rated it 4 stars.

The apartments were spacious and the AC worked well, but there were cockroaches in the attached bathroom. The sheets didn’t feel clean, and I found hair on the pillows. Security was minimal, especially for the car, and the night guard caused a lot of trouble when we came back late. The entrance is awkward, through the basement. The lift was out, and it took a long time to get that sorted and reach our room. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There was no hot water in our room. The staff member on duty explained that the solar heaters didn’t make enough when it was cloudy, which meant some rooms had hot water and others didn’t. It was November. At reception, the staff member’s attitude was basically take it or leave it, which made the situation even worse.

For the price, I can’t believe they offer rooms this good. You can book through OYO, and if you’re not satisfied, upgrade for just 300 rupees. Service apartments are available too.
