The Seven Hills Hotel

I felt safe staying here as a solo woman traveler, and would definitely recommend it. The rooms and washroom were clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and gave us great service, including an early check-in and a late checkout. The hotel is on a safe street, with transport options nearby.

After one night, I’d call this a basic budget stay, not a three-star or business hotel. It’s near the railway station, so getting around is easy, and the staff were available and polite when we needed them to find essentials. But the advertised complimentary items were mostly missing: no dental kit, shoe shine or newspaper, and the towel looked like it had been past its best for years. There’s no restaurant, so forget the promised buffet breakfast. The AC unit looks battered, the washroom fixtures are worn, and the furniture was dusty. The room extension is just for show, so bring your own phone if you need the front desk. Even the cleaning left me wondering whether anyone had properly sanitized the room after the last guest.

There’s no ceiling fan in any of the rooms, and the AC was dusty and didn’t work properly. We waited 1.5 hours for the hot water to be fixed, then finally bathed in cold water. They could at least have considered my 6 year old kid. The hotel has no restaurant, though it sells breakfast with the room. They sent us to a nearby restaurant for breakfast, saying the deal covered up to rs. 100 per head. It wasn’t like a 3 star hotel breakfast, but it was okay, and we could get the rs. 100 refunded if we didn’t like it. Their deals and discounts are all traps. Please don’t stay here.

The restaurant wasn’t operating, so we had to order food on Swiggy. The room smelled bad, the bathroom was in awful shape with flies around, and there was no hot water after 7 pm because the system runs on solar. The kettle was broken and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The whole place was shabby and poorly maintained, with cobwebs and dirt everywhere. It felt like a hotel that used to be looked after.
