Hyatt Regency Thrissur

We were at Hyatt Regency Thrissur for a wedding function, and the auditorium worked well for a large gathering: spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. The dining hall was grand too, with good seating and smooth crowd management. Parking was ample and organized, a big help for a large event. Staff were courteous, professional, and ready to assist. Modern interiors, tasteful decor, and good lighting gave the property a nice ambience. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hotel also has comfortable rooms, good food, and well-kept shared spaces, making it suitable for stays, business visits, and events. One of the region's best premium hospitality destinations, in my view.

The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, and the AC worked great. I liked that the light switches were easy to figure out, and there was a safe in the room. I didn't try the laundry, but the towels were really soft. The shower felt luxurious and had hot water almost right away. The pool was clean and well maintained, with a view from my room. The staff were great. I'd definitely stay again.

We stayed from 15th–17th Jan, and the food is still on my mind. Chef Sijith, those soft idlis, ridiculously good chutneys, and crisp vadas were a highlight. I may have taken extra spoonfuls of chutney, no regrets. The whole stay felt easy, from the service and comfort to the atmosphere and food. No complaints, just a lot of joy. The people really made it, especially the warm, helpful front desk team: Amal, Aswin, and Sreesha, who was the cutest little human. Every staff member was sweet, down-to-earth, and made us feel welcome.

The staff were polite and quick to offer help with a smile. Breakfast tasted good, though the selection was on the small side, and restaurant servers sometimes forgot custom breakfast orders. Our room was spacious with lovely views, but the cupboards had no shelves, which were instead in another wall unit. The AC wasn't working properly, and the iron had a glitch. The property sits on a low-traffic road, though it's far from the town centre. I was puzzled that the wheelchair, stroller, and trolley ramp was often blocked by cars parked badly.
